CCPA and other consumer privacy laws challenge compliance

With new consumer privacy laws like CCPA, Best Buy needed to find a way to achieve full compliance, but with over 400 core systems holding information from millions of customers, it was a challenge. These repositories weren’t designed to deliver data analytics and perform the complex data management needed to meet new CCPA requirements.

Platform 3 Solutions identifies data topics for Best Buy to act on to ensure compliance.

Working with Best Buy’s internal IT and compliance team, we leveraged our flagship product Archon to help their team set up an automated process. This process identified and defined fundamental data topics to map against all existing systems.

Using these data topics, Best Buy can take action—like defensible deletion of personal data—while maintaining the critical data needed to meet complicated CCPA regulations.
