Advancing Enterprise Data Governance

• Data Bunker – Secure and Compliant Data Storage: The new Data Bunker feature in Archon Data Store enables a secure, isolated storage zone for long-term archival of sensitive or regulated data. It ensures compliance with internal and external data retention policies while offering high durability and optimized storage efficiency.
• Governance – Unified Control Across Applications: Archon Data Store now offers a powerful Data Governance framework that provides centralized control over data assets across multiple applications. This feature ensures secure access, regulatory compliance, and consistent metadata management. By enforcing policies and access controls, it helps organizations maintain data integrity, reduce risk, and turn data into a trusted asset for analytics and decision-making
• Approval Workflow for Sensitive Operations: To address the critical need for compliant auditing in data access, a new feature, the Approval Workflow, was experimented with in Archon Data Store. This new capability attempts to add a vital layer of governance to search execution, allowing users to define an approval hierarchy and specify designated approvers for search requests. Once enabled, searches can only proceed for approved payloads, ensuring that sensitive data is accessed with proper authorization. The feature is set up in a way that allows users to track their requests and manage those awaiting their approval, bringing transparency, accountability, and control to data access. The team had completed the prototype version for this feature, demoed it for the customer, and received welcoming feedback.
• Enhanced Performance Capabilities: The ingestion layer was rewritten to handle file I/O operations, data frame handling in a more efficient and optimized manner. The code was corrected to make effective use of the Executor memory rather than the Driver memory, which significantly boosted the data ingestion performance. These are delivered as part of ADS releases during the quarter, and more improvements, specifically related to faster handling of encryption-related requests, are being fine-tuned and are expected to be released soon.

• Unified Dashboard View – Real-Time Visibility Made Simple: The new Dashboard feature in Archon ETL aggregates data from multiple sources into a single, unified view. It allows users to quickly assess the overall system status, monitor ongoing activities, identify trends, and detect issues—all without navigating through multiple screens or reports. This centralized visibility helps teams make faster, data-driven decisions and ensures smooth operations across the platform.
• Job Prioritization – Run Critical Workloads First: Assign priorities to ETL jobs to ensure business-critical processes execute ahead of less urgent tasks, optimizing pipeline scheduling based on what matters most.
• Runtime Throttling – Dynamic Control Over Job Execution: Control how much system capacity each ETL jobs consume by adjusting execution throttles during runtime. This helps balance performance and resource usage in real-time.
• Expanded Connector Support – Integrate with More Data Sources: Archon ETL connects with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Interbase, and CockroachDB, enabling broader data integration across modern and legacy systems.
